Kepworth 36V 8A LiFePO4 Battery Charger charges batteries using Constant Current/Constant Voltage charging algorithm after which it stops the charging process protecting the battery.

In order to safely charge lithium batteries, Kepworth 36V 8A LiFePO4 Battery Charger comes with safety features that include:
- Over-Current Protection (8 Amps max. charging current regardless of the charging voltage),
- Over-Voltage Protection (43.8 Volts max. charging voltage, regardless of the charging current),
- Reverse Connection Protection (Red clamp is positive, a Black clamp is negative),
- Short Circuit Protection (connect the battery charger to the mains power after connecting it to the battery),
- Over-Heat Protection (charging temperature range is between -13°F (-25°C) and 104°F (+40°C) - personally, charging LiFePO4 batteries below 32°F (0°C) should be done only if allowed by the battery manufacturer).
Note: some sites claim that this battery charger is also intended for lead-acid batteries (AGM, Gel-Cell, Flooded) and that even comes with advanced features like deep-discharge recovery, desulphation, and similar. Wrong, this is a lithium battery only battery charger - a very simple battery charger, but it does its intended job well.
Kepworth 36V 8A LiFePO4 Battery Charger comes with a cooling fan and robust aluminum casing ensuring thermal and mechanical durability.
With an 8 Amps maximum charging current, the charger is able to charge 36V lithium batteries that range from 15-20Ah to 100+ Ah. It can charge even larger batteries, but it simply lasts too long.
