BCI Battery Group Size Chart
Knowing exact BCI group battery size helps finding new battery replacement, however, knowing just BCI group size is often not enough.
Batteries also differ by their:
- purpose: starting, dual-purpose, deep cycle,
- cell type: AGM, gel cell, flooded cell,
- chemistry: lead-acid, NiCd, NiMH, lithium, etc.
Other important information include details like terminals number, type and orientation, battery maintenance, housing material etc.
Knowing all these information significantly helps finding proper battery replacement.

When replacing old battery with the new one, be sure that the new one is of the same chemistry like old one (or it is verified 'drop-in-replacement' battery) and that it has the same or better electrical features.

Many BCI battery groups differ by only fraction of an inch and they can be used interchangeably, if and only if the new battery:
- can fit your battery compartment with properly oriented terminals,
- have the same or better specifications/features than the old battery,
- can be properly charged.
Even then be sure to check with professionals if the replacement with another battery group is a safe option. If not, the operation of the new battery may cause damage, injuries, or even worse ...
