CHINS 24V 200Ah Deep Cycle LiFePO4 Lithium Battery
CHINS 24V 200Ah Deep Cycle LiFePO4 Lithium Battery is a deep cycle battery based on the Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) chemistry, intended for various applications where high capacity 24V battery that cycles well is needed.
The built-in Battery Management System protects the battery from unwanted situations, making the CHINS 24V 200Ah battery very safe to use.

CHINS 24V 200Ah Battery Features and Specifications
CHINS 24V 200Ah battery features physical dimensions of 20.55 x 9.44 x 8.58 inches (~52.2 x 24.0 x 21.8 cm) and it weighs ~97 pounds (~44 kg).
The actual voltage of the battery is 25.6 volts and it doesn't change much during the discharge. Thanks to its capacity of 200Ah, this means that the battery is able to store ~5 kWh of energy.
Note: according to the manufacturer, the CHINS 24V 200Ah battery is able to store 5120 Wh of energy. But, as the Depth of Discharge increases, the actual voltage of the battery drops below 25.6 volts.
The built-in BMS protects the battery from overcharge, over-discharge, over-current, and short circuits. Also, it prevents the battery from being charged at high temperatures (over 122 °F, 50 °C).
Since operating temperatures are:
- charging: 32°F - 122°F (0°C - 50°C),
- discharge: -4°F - 140°F (-20°C - 60°C),
- storage: -4°F - 122°F (-20°C - 50°C),
low/high-temperature protection for both charging and discharging would be good to have (at the moment of writing of this review, CHINS 24V 200Ah battery has only high temperature charging protection!).
But, the built-in BMS also allows the user to connect CHINS 24V 200Ah batteries in parallel (up to 2) and in series (up to 2), making battery packs with larger capacity (24V 400Ah) and/or larger capacity (48V 200Ah/400Ah) - the maximum allowed is 2S2P battery pack.
Note: whenever connecting lithium batteries in parallel and/or series, always connect them as recommended by their manufacturer.
CHINS 24V 200Ah battery supports at least 2000 charging/discharging cycles down to 80% DoD, which is at least 4-5x more than the best lead-acid batteries that also weigh much more.
The maximum continuous discharge current is 200 Amps with a maximum 5s surge current of 600 Amps.
The maximum continuous charging current is 100 Amps, with the recommended maximum charging current of 50 Amps.
Such charging current allows the battery discharged down to 75-80% DoD to be recharged in 3-3.5 h using 50 Amps lithium battery charger using a charging voltage of 28.8V±0.4V.
When charging a CHINS 24V 200Ah battery it is highly recommended to use a dedicated lithium battery charger or an advanced battery charger that features a lithium battery charging mode.
One such battery charger is a NOCO Genius GX2440 24-Volt 40 Amp Smart Battery Charger And Maintainer, intended for charging 24 volts flooded/wet, AGM, Gel-Cell, and lithium batteries with currents up to 40 Amps.
NOCO Genius GX2440 is a highly efficient (up to 92%) battery charger with advanced diagnostics, IP66 dust, and water protection, wide input voltage (100-240V AC), various safety features, etc.

Of course, there are other suitable 24V lithium battery chargers on the market, too.
CHINS 24V 200Ah Battery As An Inverter/RV House Battery
CHINS 24V 200Ah battery can be used in various automotive, light industrial, marine, and similar applications.
These and similar batteries are commonly used as lightweight inverter/RV house batteries intended for powering various loads and appliances.
When 4 (four) CHINS 24V 200Ah batteries are connected in a 2S2P configuration, a 48V 400Ah battery pack is created.
And if the DoD is limited to 80%, the battery pack is able to provide 320 Ah @48V (actually 51.2V) - that is more than 15 kWh.
The maximum discharge current of such battery pack is 400 Amps ensuring ~20 kW of power with surge 1200(!) Amps for up to 5 seconds.
For example: if RV features a 48V power inverter with an efficiency of 85%, then such battery pack can provide:
- 5000W output power, which requires ~5900W of input power, which is ~115 Amps @51.2V. 320Ah battery pack can provide 115 Amps for ~2h 45min.
- 2000W output power, which requires ~2400W of input power, which is ~47 Amps @51.2V. 320Ah battery pack can provide 47 Amps for ~6h 45min.
This is a very good result for the battery pack that weighs ~390 pounds (~177 kg).
Long Story Short: If You are looking for a deep cycle, high capacity 24V battery, consider a CHINS 24V 200Ah battery. Its BMS protects the battery from the most important events that can harm the battery, although low-temperature protection should be included in future models.
But, it can be connected in series and parallel as recommended by its manufacturer.
Also, it supports a large number of charging/discharging cycles, it can be relatively quickly recharged and it is rather lightweight.
