LiTime 12V 100Ah Mini is designed as very compact and lightweight Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) deep cycle battery for a very popular 12V 100Ah battery class.
Just like similar models, LiTime 12V 100Ah Mini supports large number of charging/discharging cycles, accepts charge well, can provide relatively large continuous current, etc. But, LiTime 12V 100Ah Mini saves on storage area and volume and it weighs less.

LiTime 12V 100Ah Mini Battery Features and Specifications
LiTime 12V 100Ah Mini battery is based on Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) chemistry, and combined with a built-in Battery Management System (BMS), ensures safe operation in wide temperature range from -4°F to 140°F (-20°C to 60°C).
Also, BMS protects the battery from overvoltage, undervoltage, overheating, overcurrent and short circuit and allows connecting the battery in parallel and series connections up to 4P4S (up to 48V/51.2V and 400Ah).
The physical dimensions of the battery are (L x W x H) 10.23 x 5.23 x 8.95 inches (26 x 13.3 x 22.8 cm) and it weighs only 19 lbs (~8.7 kg).
Regarding its dimensions, the battery is similar to battery group 24 (10.25 x 6.8125 x 8.875 inches, 26 x 17.3 x 22.5 cm), just it is slimmer.
Note: most 12V 100Ah lithium batteries belong to somewhat larger battery group 31.
When compared with similar lead-acid batteries, LiTime 12V 100Ah Mini battery supports much more charging/discharging cycles:
- 4000+ cycles down to 100% DoD,
- 6000+ cycles down to 80% DoD,
- 15000+ cycles down to 60% DoD,
which is at least 10x more than similar 12V lead-acid batteries.
Also, LiTime 12V 100Ah Mini battery is more energy efficient, especially when compared at currents approaching 1C.
But, as lithium battery, LiTime 12V 100Ah Mini has some limits, too, including:
- maximum continuous charge current of 100 Amps (1C),
- recommended charging current of 20 Amps (0.2C),
- maximum continuous discharge current of 100 Amps (1C),
- maximum discharge current of 250 Amps for 5 seconds,
- CC/CV charging method with charging voltage of 14.4V±0.2V.
These limitations are enforced by BMS and if they are met, BMS will protect the battery by disconnecting it.
This also means that LiTime 12V 100Ah Mini battery can be used as an excellent deep cycle lithium battery in various situations, like solar battery, trolling motor battery, off-the-grid battery, inverter battery, etc.
It is also important to note that battery features IP65 rating, that it is spill-proof and maintenance free, and can be mounted in any position, even up side down.
How to Charge LiTime 12V 100Ah Mini Battery
As said before, maximum continuous charging current is 100 Amps and the recommended charging current is 20 Amps.
This allows the battery to be recharged in ~1h from 100% DoD to 100% Soc.
However, to decrease the load on the battery, 0.2C (20 Amps) charging current is recommended.
LiTime 12V 100Ah Mini battery should be recharged either with dedicated CC/CV lithium battery charger or with advanced lead-acid battery charger that also features CC/CV lithium battery charging mode.
Charging LiTime 12V 100Ah Mini battery from 80% DoD to 80% SOC lasts ~3 hours, which isn't much when compared with similar lead-acid deep cycle batteries.

LiTime 12V 100Ah Mini Battery As Trolling Motor Battery
LiTime 12V 100Ah Mini battery can be used as excellent ultralight trolling motor battery.
With its maximum discharging current of 100 Amps, it can be used as battery for 30-70 lbs trolling motors which don't require discharge currents of more than 50-60 Amps.
Stronger trolling motors usually operate at 24V or 36V - since LiTime 12V 100Ah Mini battery support connecting up to 4S4P, if you need 24V or 36V lithium battery pack, feel free to connect two or three LiTime 12V 100Ah Mini batteries in series.
When the LiTime 12V 100Ah Mini battery is discharged at 50 Amps, its runtime on a single charge is ~2h, which is excellent for 19 lbs battery.
Note: if you run your trolling motor at 100% throttle most of the time, your trolling motor is seriously underpowered.
When the LiTime 12V 100Ah Mini battery is discharged at 20-30 Amps with short bursts up to 50-60 Amps, one may expect runtimes of up to 3-4 hours, with some energy left for safety.
LiTime 12V 100Ah Mini Battery As Inverter Battery
LiTime 12V 100Ah Mini battery can be used in off-the-grid situations as power inverter battery.
With continuous 100Amp discharge current and 250A for 5 seconds, LiTime 12V 100Ah Mini battery can be used to power inverters up to 1000 running/continuous watts and 2000 starting/surge watts.
For example, if the power inverter features energy efficiency of 90%, then the battery must provide:
PBat = 1000W / 0.9 = 1111W
for the inverter to provide 1000W. At 12V, this means that the battery must provide ~93 Amps, which is not a problem.
Similarly, if the power inverter is providing 2000W surge watts, the battery must provide 2222W which is ~186 Amps, which is not a problem for few seconds.
Note: If your power inverter is constantly loaded at 70% or more, it is considered underpowered and any surge can trip its safety system to power it off.
Long Story Short: If you are looking for a relatively small and compact, and certainly lightweight 12V 100Ah battery, consider LiTime 12V 100Ah Mini battery.
It is very similar to group 24 batteries, except that it is ~1.5 inches slimmer (~4 cm) - LiTime 12V 100Ah Mini battery can fit into battery compartments intended for the group 24 batteries, but it needs some spacers to fix it firmly in position.
LiTime 12V 100Ah Mini battery is relatively new battery on the market, but it is already one of the most popular batteries where physical dimensions are important.
Note: it performs just as good as, if not better, other 12V 100Ah Lithium Iron Phosphate deep cycle batteries.
