Westinghouse iGen200s Portable Power Station and Solar Generator
Westinghouse iGen200s Portable Power Station and Solar Generator is a lightweight and compact unit intended for charging smart devices and powering smaller devices like smart TVs, telecommunication devices, multimedia centers, LED lighting, etc., during blackouts and emergencies, but also when camping, fishing, hiking, and generally, when being off the grid.
Thanks to the built-in lithium battery, Westinghouse iGen200s can be used both indoors and outdoors, and if required, it can even be recharged using a smaller solar panel (not included).

Westinghouse iGen200s Features and Specifications
Westinghouse iGen200s features high capacity lithium battery (52.5Ah, 3.7V, 194Wh), allowing the unit to operate both indoors and outdoors - the unit doesn't emit any fumes, and it is very quiet during operation.
The maximum continuous output power is 150W, and the maximum surge power is 300W, allowing the unit to charge several devices at once and power smaller AC units.
However, the unit is not able to power microwave ovens, corded drills, and similar devices and tools - it is simply too small and, after all, not designed for such tasks.
The physical dimensions of the unit are (L x W x H) 8 x 3.6 x 7.36 inches (~20.3 x 9.1 x 18.7 cm), and it weighs only 4.03 pounds (~1.8 kg).
Westinghouse iGen200s is a very simple-to-use and maintain power station/solar generator, but when it arrives, be sure to read the Owner's Guide, just in case.
The carrying handle is placed on top of the unit, with a LED flashlight On/Off button conveniently placed very near the handle.
The LED flashlight features three light modes, including Max. Light Mode, Medium Light Mode, and SOS Light Mode.
Display on the side of the unit present to the user all required information about the unit, including:
- AC/DC/USB Wattage
- DC Charging
- AC/DC Status
- Failure Warning/Error Codes
- Remaining Battery Charge
To increase the safety, the unit comes with several safety features, including:
- Over Voltage Protection
- Low Voltage Protection
- Short Circuit Protection
Also, if the unit is overloaded, it will disconnect the load.
AC and DC charging ports feature separate On/Off control buttons.
Westinghouse iGen200s comes with the following charging/output ports:
- 2x 120V AC, up to 1.25A, 150W Max. (Modified Sine Wave)
- USB-A, 5V DC, up to 2.4A, 12W Max.
- USB-A QC (Quick Charge) 3.0, 5/9/12V DC, up to 3.0A, 18W Max.
- USB-C PD (Power Delivery), 5/9/12V DC, up to 3.0A, 18W Max.
- 6mm, 9-12.6V DC, up to 10A.
Note: some sources claim that Westinghouse iGen200s features pure sine wave AC output; however, the official Westinghouse iGen200s page states "modified sine wave," which is good enough for most smartphone chargers, laptop chargers, smart TVs, and similar.
What's In The Box?
When Westinghouse iGen200s arrives, the box contains the following:
- iGen200s Power Station/Solar Generator
- Wall Charger
- Car Charger
- Car Cigarette Lighter Adapter
- Accessories Box
- Manual/Owner's Guide
How To Charge Westinghouse iGen200s Power Station?
When not in use, Westinghouse iGen200s Power Station should be recharged every 2-3 months to protect the battery that can withstand 500 charging/discharging cycles down to 80% DoD.
Westinghouse iGen200s can be recharged using the following:
- Wall Charger using mains power or power generator (~4 hours),
- Car charger when the engine is turned On,
- Solar panels (4-5 hours).
Note: solar panel is not included by default. Most solar panels providing less than 22V can be used to recharge Westinghouse iGen220s. However, any input voltage larger than 22V may damage or even destroy the unit.
Long Story Short: Westinghouse iGen200s is a compact and relatively lightweight solar generator that can even fit into a backpack with smaller foldable solar panels and can be carried easily.
Also, it can be kept "just in case" for emergencies and blackouts - it is a relatively cheap unit; just be sure to recharge the battery periodically.
People who like camping and similar outdoor activities can benefit from such a unit that allows them to recharge phones, tablets, and laptops and to power smaller appliances just by harnessing solar energy (again, the solar panels are not included, and they must be ordered separately).
