Zeus Dynamo Powerhouse 60+ power generator belongs to the often neglected group of manual, hand crank power generators.

As such, it doesn't depend on fossil fuel, sun, or wind - all the user has to do is place the power generator on some flat surface, fix it, connect the device, grab the generator's handle, and manually crank the unit.

The maximum output power of the Zeus Dynamo Powerhouse 60+ is around 60 Watts, but personally, that output power cannot be sustained for a longer period due to fatigue - more realistically, one can expect 30 or so Watts for anything longer than 10-15 minutes.

On the other hand, not many devices support USB charging with power levels of more than 12-20 Watts.

Zeus Dynamo Powerhouse 60+ power generator features two fast charging ports:

  • USB-C charging port: 5–20V, 0.5–3A, max. 60W; Universal USB Power Delivery (USB-PD),
  • USB-A charging port: 5–12V, 0.5–3A, max. 18W; Apple and Samsung Qualcomm Quickcharge (QC) compatible fast-charging port.

Zeus Dynamo Powerhouse 60+ is also designed to charge older devices without support for fast USB charging.

For example, 3-4 minutes of cranking is usually enough to recharge a dead smartphone to make an emergency 5-6 minute call.

Similarly, the Zeus Dynamo Powerhouse 60+ power generator can recharge a battery jump starter in 5-10 minutes of cranking, enough to make one crucial engine start.

For short: don't expect this unit to fully recharge a car's starting battery or boat's deep cycle battery, but it will easily and quickly recharge smartphones, tablets, jump starters, power banks, and similar devices to make them work for a short period of time to get You or anybody else out of the situation You don't want to be in.

Carrying bag dimensions are (L x W x H) 9 x 7 x 7 inches (~23 x 18 x 18 cm), and the whole kit weighs ~9 pounds (~4.1 kg) - the kit is probably too large and too heavy just to grab it and store in the backpack when going camping, hiking and similar, but it can fit in car's trunk easily and can come in very handy in various situations.

Personally, if You are going for the off-the-grid adventure for a longer period of time, Zeus Dynamo Powerhouse 60+ can be carried along the foldable solar panel USB charger and used when really required - such chargers complement each other.

Also, since it doesn't feature onboard batteries, fossil fuels, and similar, the unit can be stored for a really long period without the need to replace the fuel or recharge the onboard battery - if You live in an area with regular blackouts or similar situations, having Zeus Dynamo Powerhouse 60+ and a small solar USB charger can help keep the telecommunication devices charged enough.
