Sigineer Power PSW71512NC 1500W 12V 3-in-1 Power Inverter Charger
Sigineer Power PSW71512NC is a 3-in-1 pure sine wave power inverter that also acts as a battery charger and automatic transfer switch, allowing the users to power their AC devices, tools, and appliances during periods of unreliable AC mains power.
Also, Sigineer Power PSW71512NC is commonly used in RVs, trucks, boats, for camping, tailgating, and in other similar off-the-grid situations where a reliable and versatile power inverter/charger is required.

Sigineer Power PSW71512NC 1500W Power Inverter/Charger
Sigineer Power PSW71512NC is a relatively large, robust, and reliable power inverter featuring 1500W continuous and 4500W surge (20s).
As a battery charger, it features a maximum charging current of 45 Amps and supports practically all deep cycle 12V batteries commonly found on the market today, including lead-acid (AGM, Gel, Flooded, etc.) and Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries.
Battery type and capacity depend on the unit's output power and battery charging current - generally, one should use at least 200Ah lithium batteries and 250-300Ah lead-acid batteries.
For example, when the unit is powering 1500W external loads, its input power is:
Pinput(W) = 1500W / 0.85 = 1764W
Iinput(A) = 1764W / 12V = 147A
So, when the unit is powering 1500W external loads, it draws ~140-150 Amps from the battery.
Since lithium batteries usually feature a 1C maximum continuous discharge current, one should use at least 200Ah 12V lithium batteries.
While lead-acid batteries don't have such limits, one must note that lead-acid batteries feature strong capacity loss when being discharged with 0.5-1.0C and stronger currents. Also, deep-cycle lead-acid batteries should not be commonly charged with 0.25-0.33C or stronger charging currents.
Note: one may use a 12V 100Ah AGM battery with this unit, but if the battery is cycled often, its operating life may be decreased due to the too-strong charging current.
Battery type/chemistry is set using DIP switches on the unit - before connecting anything to the unit, be sure to thoroughly read the Owner's Guide/manual that comes with the unit.
When the unit is pushed to its limit (4500W), it requires up to ~440-450 Amps @12V, which is rather strong currents, so be sure to use thick enough wires.
Note: Sigineer Power also manufactures a very similar 24V unit labeled as PSW71524NC.
Sigineer Power PSW71512NC features physical dimensions of (L x W x H) 14.3 x 6.8 x 5.3 inches (362 x 173 x 135 mm), and it weighs 27.3 lbs (~12.5 kg) - this is not the most compact and lightest 1500W power inverter, on the contrary.
But this is also a 3-in-1 unit, not "just" a power inverter.
As a power inverter, Sigineer Power PSW71512NC features two 120V AC GFCI ports. Also, it is labeled as a "pure sine wave" power inverter due to very low THD levels of ≤3% when the battery voltage is 12+ volts and the load is not critical.
When the battery voltage is low (10.0-10.5V) and when the unit is under a large load, THD levels may rise to 8-10% - still rather acceptable.
Also, Sigineer Power PSW71512NC supports the use of an external LCD port and battery temperature sensor and may even start a power generator in the case the mains power is lost.
Sigineer Power PSW71512NC also may be used as an automatic transfer switch which switches in under 10ms from the mains power to the battery power.
Is Sigineer Power PSW71512NC a UPS?
No, Sigineer Power PSW71512NC is not a UPS; UPS units feature a built-in deep-cycle battery, while Sigineer Power PSW71512NC doesn't feature a built-in battery - it uses external battery/batteries.
Is Sigineer Power PSW71512NC a safe unit?
Yes, Sigineer Power PSW71512NC is a safe unit when set correctly.
To increase safety, Sigineer Power PSW71512NC features overload protection, under-voltage protection, short circuit protection, over-voltage protection, and over-temperature protection.
Sigineer Power PSW71512NC comes with a 1-year limited warranty.
Long Story Short: If You are looking for a versatile, 3-in-1 unit, consider Sigineer Power PSW71512NC - it can be used as:
- pure sine wave power inverter (1500W/4500W),
- battery charger (45A charging current),
- UPS with external batteries.
The unit may be used during camping, tailgating, emergencies, blackouts, in boats, yachts, etc. It should be mounted in a well-ventilated unit, close to the batteries - the unit doesn't emit any fumes and can be used indoors, unlike power generators that MUST be used outdoors.
