FOXWELL BT-705 12V 24V Car Battery Tester/Analyzer
FOXWELL BT-705 is a conductance type battery tester/analyzer, suitable for 12V and 24V batteries and charging/starting systems, commonly used in automotive, marine, and light-industrial applications.
FOXWELL BT-705 works well with lead-acid flooded, AGM, and Gel-Cell batteries, allowing the user to quickly test the battery condition and the condition of the charging/starting system.
FOXWELL BT-705 Battery Load Tester/Analyzer
FOXWELL BT-705 comes in a nylon carrying/storage pouch, containing FOXWELL BT-705 battery load tester, cables, and Owner's Guide.
Note: Although FOXWELL BT-705 is very easy and intuitive to use, it is recommended to keep the Owner's Guide in the carrying pouch - just in case. Of course, when the unit arrives, be sure to read it thoroughly.
The physical dimensions of the unit are 190 x 90 x 36 mm, with the test cables being 7.8 feet (~2.4 m) long.
FOXWELL BT-705 is intended for testing/analyzing lead-acid wet/flooded, AGM, and Gel-Cell batteries from 100 to 2000 CCA, and to display the test results based on CCA, EN, CA, MCA, DIN, SAE, JIS, and IEC standards.
The unit requires 6 to 30 volts to operate - if the voltage is below 6V, it will not detect the battery and if the voltage is above 30V, well, such voltage may even damage the unit.
The operating temperature range is -20°C to +60°C, and the storage temperature is -20°C to +70°C, allowing the user to test the battery practically regardless of the season.
The most important battery and cranking system tests include:
- battery cranking Amps test: tests the cranking amps of the 12V or 24V battery, in or out of the vehicle, regardless of the battery type (wet/flooded, AGM, Gel-Cell), and displays the results according to the chosen standard.
- cranking system test: measures actual voltage drop during cranking/starting and the cranking time in seconds.
- charging system test: measures the voltage of the battery while the engine is on idle and when the engine is revved up, with and without loads (high beam lights, fan, multimedia, etc.).
Note: when preparing for the battery test, the user must set the battery CCA rating - this value is important for deciding if the battery is good or not. Many people just set 500/750 CCA (if the exact CCA value is not known) for car batteries and check the measured value.
Another very interesting feature is the ability to print the results via a Bluetooth-enabled printer, including the car's license plate - a very interesting option for car shops.
FOXWELL BT-705 battery tester/analyzer comes with a 1-year limited warranty.
Long Story Short: FOXWELL BT-705 is able to test and analyze the battery's cranking ability, cranking system, and charging system and to provide very accurate results according to the required standard.
It comes at an affordable price and is one of the most popular units in its class, commonly used to check/test cars, trucks, boats, yacht, and even light-industrial batteries.
