Weize FPLI-12100AH 12V 100Ah Lithium LiFePO4 Deep Cycle Battery
Weize FPLI-12100AH battery is an ultralight, deep-cycle battery based on the Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) chemistry, supporting a large number of charging/discharging cycles.

Weize FPLI-12100AH Battery Features and Specifications
Weize FPLI-12100AH battery features a nominal voltage of 12.8V and a nominal capacity of 100Ah, for a total of 1280Wh of stored energy, at least, in theory.
In real life, output voltage depends on the discharge current, but as long as the discharge current:
- ~0.5C: mostly above 12V,
- ~0.2C: mostly above 12.4V,
- ~0.1C: mostly around 12.8V.
Weize FPLI-12100AH battery features physical dimensions of (L x W x H) 12.71 x 6.49 x 8.34 inches (~32.3 x 16.5 x 21.2 cm), and it weighs 26.4 pounds (~12.0 kg).
The maximum allowed continuous discharge current is 100 Amps, and the maximum surge discharge current is 200 Amps for 3 seconds.

How To Charge Weize FPLI-12100AH Battery
Weize FPLI-12100AH battery can be recharged with charging currents up to 100 Amps, but to prolong the battery operating lifetime, it is recommended to use currents in the 20-25 Amps range.
For example, when the battery is discharged down to 50% DoD, a 20 Amps battery charger requires less than 3h to recharge the battery fully.
Although a 50 Amps battery charger requires a little bit longer than 1h, in the long run, such charging may slightly decrease the battery's number of charging/discharging cycles.
Weize FPLI-12100AH battery may be recharged using the following:
- dedicated lithium battery chargers,
- smart AGM battery chargers with the dedicated lithium battery charging mode,
- DC-to-DC battery chargers with the dedicated lithium battery charging mode,
- solar battery charger controllers that support charging lithium batteries, etc.
Again, whichever device You use, if there is no need to speed up charging, keep the charging current around 20-25 Amps.
Weize FPLI-12100AH Battery As Inverter Battery
Weize FPLI-12100AH battery is commonly used as a deep-cycle power inverter battery.
When used as such, it is important to remember that the actual output voltage quickly drops to 12V when being discharged at 1C, but as long as the battery is discharged at 0.1C-0.2C, the output voltage is 12.4-12.8V.
Thus, when dimensioning a suitable inverter for a Weize FPLI-12100AH battery, one may freely use a power inverter in the 800-1000 Watts range with an energy efficiency of 90%.
For example, if a power inverter delivers 1000 Watts and it features 90% energy efficiency, then that power inverter draws:
PINV = 1000 Watts / 0.9 = ~1111 Watts = 100 Amps * 11.1V (for ~55 minutes)
Also, the battery is able to provide 200 Amps for ~3 seconds, supporting the 1000W power inverters with 2000W surge power.
Note: this is a borderline example, but often seen in real life since power inverters are never, or at least should never be, loaded at ~100% all the time.
In the case of emergency, the Weize FPLI-12100AH battery can provide 0.2C current for 5 hours, which in real life means ~200W (AC 120V), which is enough for a medium size TV, home telecommunication equipment, few LED lights, and keeping the smartphones, tablets, and laptops charged, which is very important in emergencies and during blackouts.
Weize FPLI-12100AH Battery As Trolling Motor Battery
With its output current of 100 Amps, it can be used as an excellent lightweight trolling motor battery.
Since most trolling motors feature a maximum discharge current of 50-60 Amps or less, the Weize FPLI-12100AH battery can power 50 Amps trolling motor for ~2 hours at full throttle.
And since trolling motors are never used at 100% power (or they are seriously underpowered), the Weize FPLI-12100AH battery can power such trolling motors for a rather long time - not bad for 26.4 pounds heavy battery.
Also, trolling motors having thrusts of 80 or more pounds mostly use 24V, 36V, or even 48V battery packs.
Weize FPLI-12100AH battery can be connected in series (up to 4 batteries) and can be used to create 24V, 36V, and 48V battery packs, and can be used to power 24V, 36V, and 48V electric trolling motors.
If something wrong happens, for example, trolling motor prop gets into weeds or similar, battery BMS will tolerate currents up to 200 Amps for 3 seconds, after which it will shut off the battery.
This is a great safety feature that should never happen since trolling motors MUST have electric breakers that would cut off the circuit long before the BMS kicks in - but, it is nice to have this and other safety features.
